Blue Jacket - This epic outdoor drama is located near Xenia, Ohio. Their story begins with the Battle of Point Pleasant in October 1774 and ends after the Battle of Fallen Timbers in the early 1800's. Told from the Shawnee point of view, BLUE JACKET provides a wonderful insight into the problems facing the Indians and settlers of the early Ohio frontier. Perfect for schools with summer classes. Plan to take a backstage tour before the show.

Ohio Historic Society and Ohio Village - A wonderful resource for teachers and students. Their Kids Page is full of great projects and fun facts. Located in Columbus, Ohio, a trip to the village will transport students to the middle 1800's. Watch the blacksmith, tinsmith and other tradesmen at their work. Tour the full Museum. A great day trip for students.

Greater Columbus Arts Council - Located in Columbus, Ohio, GCAC has a wonderful program called Artist-in-Schools. Their professional staff juries artists to find those most appropriate for school programs. Their list of artists is available to teachers and once a year GCAC sponsors a showcase night. Teachers are invited to meet the artists and view their work. A really great resource for both schools and artists.

Kentucky Center for the Arts Education Showcases - Louisville, Kentucky. Like GCAC, the Arts Education Showcases feature juried artists from around the nation who specialize in quality educational artistic programs. The Artist Showcase and an updated Arts Resource Directory are available to teachers.

Ohio Renaissance Festival - Harveysburg, Ohio. Return to the days of Queen Elizabeth, Sir Walter Raleigh and other great and not so great English men and women of the 1570's. Ask about their special Student Days.
